Turning the trailway in the West End back into a rail line would be good for transport. We could have a commuter train run Mt Pearl and beyond right into the city centre.

Once council pockets are filled with pay raises and perks (Mile One Okeefe box more important then child safety and crossing guards) and friends are taken care of then there "might" be a few bucks left for the citizens of St. John's.

Agree on "TOO MANY GAWDY SIGNS IN ST. JOHN'S" that litter our street with ugliness rather than charm. The big black signs with neon letters are the worst. City Council please stop the invasion!

It is also high time the city did something about signage and the lack of rules about them. There are so many signs bombarding the roadways and visual landscape that a person can hardly find what they are looking for. Most of them are down-right ugly to boot. They are everywhere and are positioned too close to the roadways. Please city council: do something about signage! Most places I know of have very specific rules about such things.

its about time the city address the shortage of rinks in its jurisdiction. the ones that are privately run are falling down and mile one is not for the kids. this city fails miserbly in terms of recreation. with all the development in the city no money is no longer the answer. building permits alone have doubled since last year. time for a four pad rink like every other city in canada. don't want to hear from the winers about services, there is enough money in the pot for that as well. just because these councillors grew up have nots our kids shouldn't. i'm not even going to mention the the total disregard for money at City Hall.
