The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying the persons responsible for an armed robbery at Maries Mini Mart on Topsail Road in Conception Bay South July 22.
During the commission of the offence, a female clerk at the store received injuries from a substance believed to be bear spray. She was treated at the scene and released.
At about 10:20 p.m. that day, RNC officers responded to the armed robbery.
The suspects entered the store and demanded cash before fleeing the scene. It is believed a black car may have been used to flee the area.
One male suspect is described as approximately 6’ 0”, blocky build wearing a black jacket, white shirt, and jeans. He had on sunglasses, a winter hat and a bandana covering his face.
The second suspect is described as 5’7” and at the time of the incident was wearing a striped long sleeve shirt, jeans, black sneakers and a red camping style hat. He had his face concealed by a mask.
The RNC believes there was a third and forth male who were assisting in the crime.
The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate this armed robbery and is seeking the assistance of the general public.
