Travellers on the Burin Peninsula can expect to see RCMP checkpoints this weekend as police crack down on heavy-footed drivers.

The RCMP will be targeting aggressive driving, speeding, and seatbelt use offences from July 27 to 29, states a news release.

Police are asking drivers to slow down as they approach checkpoints and be prepared to stop.
