Regatta Day will be, according to Environment Canada, the only day it won’t rain in St. John’s this week.

The odds are still out for those planning to play Regatta roulette, with the forecast calling for a mix of sun and cloud Wednesday and a high of 19 degrees.

Should incoming weather systems arrive as predicted, all will go ahead as planned. But with rain and drizzle forecast for most of the week, betting against the weather may not be advised.

Tuesday calls for a chance of drizzle, while Thursday calls for a 40 per cent chance of showers.

The decision on whether or not Regatta day — a holiday in the St. John’s area — will be made Wednesday morning.
