After serving time for armed robbery, and while staying at a halfway house on statutory release, Gregory Pike went absent without authorization July 30, leading the RCMP to issue a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.
Pike, who had been sentenced to 2.5 years for robbing a customer in a Carbonear Shopper’s Drug Mart in 2010, was thought to have returned to the Trinity Conception area, report police. They were right.
At about 2 p.m. Tuesday, RCMP members from the Trinity Conception detachment saw Pike near the McDonald’s in Bay Roberts.
The fleet-footed felon ran from police, escaping into the nearby woods where he was followed by the RCMP, who report they caught the man without incident.
Pike was returned to the St. John’s Community Corrections Centre.
This is a corrected version.

I would rather spend time with Mr pike, than with the lame judgemental people who just sit and wait for someone to judge. I hope it makes you feel better putting down someone who may have not had much of a chance in life.
