An RNC marked cruiser had to be towed away after colliding with a trailer towed by a pick-up truck Thursday at 2:45 p.m.

The police car was driving down Sagona Avenue when the pick-up made a left turn off Kyle Avenue, report the RNC, and the officer didn’t have time to stop.

The marked cruiser did not have lights or sirens on, and was not responding to a call at the time of the incident.

The pick-up truck and trailer did not need to be towed from the scene.

The police cruiser received extensive damage.

There were no serious injuries in the incident.

ehehehehehe...guess thats why two-dozen new cruisers are budgeted for this year; try to replace some of the fleet that was wiped out in the last year or so by RNC NASCAR wannabees...

Big surprise.... RNC vehicles frequently tailgate other vehicles (I know from experience).
