St. Brendan’s, Glovertown and Sandringham have been included in 2012 provincial budget spending, with $650,000 recently announced for renovations and upgrades in the communities.
The St. Brendan’s Community Centre will get a new roof, doors, windows and siding.
Glovertown will complete waste water servicing work.
Sandringham will begin the first phase of a sewage collection and treatment system.
“These investments in rural community infrastructure are important and necessary to maintain and improve infrastructure that would otherwise be too expensive for small communities to undertake,” said Sandy Collins, MHA for Terra Nova.
