An investigation is continuing into a fire that destroyed two homes Sunday in Shoal Brook on the Northern Peninsula.
Around 3:10 a.m., the Southside Fire Department of Bonne Bay was alerted to a house fire in the area. Officers from the Rocky Harbour detachment of the RCMP were also dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, it was determined that one residence was completed destroyed by fire and had caught a second adjacent home on fire as well. Neither home was occupied at the time. Both were completely destroyed and were under renovation at the time.
RCMP fire investigators have been on the scene and the matter is currently still under investigation.
No one was injured as a result of the fire.
