I can't imagine any parent letting children play in a car, especially a 2 and 4 year old. The outcome could have been much worse, wake up dad find a safe place for your children to play.

WOW! So glad that the children and father are okay. My kids are constantly told not to play in and around our vehicles but yet it seems it is where they always want to go. Things happen so fast, hug daddy and kiddies a little tighter today. I heard what the dad did in order to save his children and it was heroic and I am sorry that he got injured as well. You can blink and a child can get into something SO fast - speedy recovery to all involved.

Obviously they were not being watched very closely by their father....in my opinion, children should not be playing in the front seat of a vehicle....there are safer places for them to play than that....
