Placentia lift bridge to be closed Friday

The Department of Transportation and Works is advising the public the Sir Ambrose Shea lift bridge in Placentia will be closed from about 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday to accommodate ongoing repair work.

In the event of an emergency, the bridge will be opened to a single lane to allow emergency vehicles to cross. Detour signs will be erected to direct traffic around the community until the repair work is complete.
