The RNC/RCMP joint forces street level drug team has seized 26 grams of what’s believed to be marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a quantity of money from a vehicle as a result of a traffic stop on Union Street in Corner Brook.
According to the police, the vehicle was stopped and searched around 2:15 p.m. Wednesday.
A 20-year-old male resident of Corner Brook was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking of a controlled substance.
He was released to appear in provincial court, Corner Brook in October.

I never understand why this is news...unless its because media wants to show how it takes a provincial and federal police force to catch a 20 yr old with less than an Oz of grass. Congrats. Surely we are all safer. We need less resources put into pursuing weed, not more. The good that could come from the $ saved would far outweigh any negative that pot has on society, if there are any.
