Clarenville RCMP charge two with impaired

A 27-year-old Hatchet Cove man is facing several charges after kicking out the window of an RCMP vehicle following his arrest for impaired driving early today.

The man is facing charges of impaired driving, resisting arrest, assault on a police officer, and mischief, report Clarenville RCMP.

He was released and will appear in Clarenville provincial court.

In an unrelated incident, a 47-year-old Clarenville man is facing impaired driving charges charges after driving his car off the road late Thursday.

There were no injuries reported, and the man was released and given a court date.
