A man accused of stabbing another man in the neck at a downtown park on Friday will undergo more psychiatric assessment.

James William Rogers, 35, was back in provincial court this morning.

After a weekend stay in the Waterford Hospital, doctors have recommended a further seven-day psychiatric evaluation.

He's due back Aug. 20.

Rogers is charged with aggravated assault, possessing a weapon (a knife), breach of probation and two counts of breaching an undertaking. One of the conditions of his undertakings was that he be prohibited from having any weapons.
