The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has arrested three Corner Brook men on the weekend for break and entry into the Blomidon Golf and Country Club.
On Saturday around 2:43 a.m., RNC Patrol Services responded to an alarm at the club. An officer was on the property at the time the alarm was activated, and discovered that a window on the premises had been pried open.
RNC dog Biff and his handler were immediately called to the scene. The police dog tracked a scent to Margaret Bowater Park.
A private security guard on duty at Margaret Bowater Park was alerted about the search for suspects in the break and entry. The security guard phoned the RNC when he observed three males enter the park from the direction of the golf course.
Two 19-year-old men and one 18 year old man were arrested and detained overnight at the Corner Brook Detention Centre and released Sunday, with conditions not to contact one another, not to enter upon the property of the Blomidon Golf and Country Club, and to appear in provincial court at a later date.
