Visitor restrictions enforced at Lakeside Homes in Gander

Central Health is advising the public that, effective immediately, due to the presence of Norwalk-like gastrointestinal illness, complete visitor restrictions will be strictly enforced at Lakeside Homes in Gander, until further notice.

The health authority said in a news release the needs of clients are being met through ongoing care from staff. Family members who have any questions should contact Lakeside Homes at (709) 256-8850 and ask to speak with the nurse in charge.

Central Health is requesting the public's co-operation as it puts precautions in place to prevent the further spread of this norovirus.

The health authority said it would also like to thank the public for co-operating during the visitation restrictions.
