The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is asking anyone with information related to an early morning disturbance Sunday on George Street in downtown St. John’s to contact them.

Around 1:30 a.m., patrol members responded to a complaint of a disturbance outside a night club. It was reported to police that  what was believed to be pepper spray or bear spray had been sprayed into a crowd of people.

The RNC said no serious injuries were reported. There have been no arrests to date, but the investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Didn't they just install a load of security cameras on the street so they are better able to prevent/persecute crime?
