RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay are looking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in an assault that occurred at the Sandbar Lounge in the town on Thursday Aug. 16.
Around 12:20 a.m., an unidentified person reportedly entered the bar, approached the female bartender and without warning punched her in the face. The bartender was knocked down and struck a number of times before she was able to fight off her attacker and run out of the bar.
The suspect is described as a man with a medium complexion and medium build. He was wearing an orange sweatshirt with grey sleeves and hood, a yellow hat, faded jeans and glasses.
The victim was treated in hospital for her injuries and later released from hospital.
