1:00pm is around lunch time. RNC is investigating what. Well the answer is that she is too old to be driving. Sorry, but that is the truth. There comes a time in life when we have to make real choices.

There should be more stringent medical exams for seniors.,especially in the areas related to reflexes, vision and cognitive abilities. This won't happen of course because the Govt. will loose too much money in suspended licenses. Unfortunately people don't have enought sense to take themselves off the road until something tragically happens.

to "As I See It", that's just not so what you posted. The only concern is for the safety of herself and other people. If she has a valid driver's license, then obviously her vision, hearing, etc., are adequate enough for her to drive. We are certainly not insinuating that this lady hibernate in her rocker in a corner and not be in anybody's way. God bless her if she does have her health and strength at this great age.

My! A little age discrimination going on here, isn't there? There are some pretty sharp 90-ish folk around & very sharp & active. Hmmmm..... I wonder if she was texting or on Twitter ..... ? Well, now, you just go over there in the corner now, Honey, & sit in your rocker, out of the way so you'll be no trouble or inconvenience to anyone.

While it does seem that there have been a number of such instances with elderly drivers the elderly certainly aren't the only bad drivers. We see and hear about bad drivers of every age every day. While the reflexes may be off a bit for older drivers the overall judgement seems to off for a lot of younger drivers. You don't hear of seniors going off the Outer Ring on wet days because they are too stund to slow down!

Santo, I stand corrected. I certainly wasn't concentrating. It's even more of a miracle that no one was injured or vehicles damaged at that time of day. Does Motor Registration issue driver's licenses to senior citizens of that age?

Yes, they do but they may require some proof that the person can still drive. I not sure what that would be but I'm guessing it maybe an OK from her family doctor.

"Didn't any family members realize where and what she was doing at that hour?" Well at 1PM she was probably going shopping.

That says 1pm Wanda, but really, is there any need for a 93 year old to still be driving. How quick can her reflex's be??

93 yrs. old driving a car alone, especially at 1:00 in the morning. Then again, it's good that it was that late because she probably would have injured herself, other people, and damaged vehicles. Didn't any family members realize where and what she was doing at that hour?
