The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary is looking for witnesses to an assault with a weapon over the weekend on Cashin Avenue in St. John’s.
A 32-year-old man was seriously injured and taken to hospital after the altercation, which happened Saturday about 2 a.m. and may have involved multiple men. Officers from patrol services, criminal investigation division, K9 and forensic identification section were on the scene.
Investigators with the major crime unit want to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact major crimes at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 222-TIPS (8477). Information can be provided anonymously.
