Two men in their 20s were arrested in Happy Valley-Goose Bay early this morning following a break-in at the Royal Canadian Legion.
The RCMP in the town responded to an alarm at the legion around 12:44 a.m. where they found the building had been broken into and a quantity of alcohol had been stolen.
Police say further investigation led them to a wooded area not far from the legion where two male suspects, 21 and 24 years of age, were arrested and a quantity of alcohol recovered.
According to the RCMP, both men were intoxicated at the time of their arrest.
They were held in custody and are expected to appear in provincial court in Happy Valley-Goose Bay later today for a bail hearing.
