Charges are expected against a 48-year-old woman from Bunyan’s Cove after 6,000 contraband cigarettes were seized this afternoon from a residence in the town.

The St. John's Customs and Excise Section, assisted by the Clarenville District RCMP, took part in the search.

Charges under the Provincial Revenue Administration Act are expected and the investigation is ongoing.
