Members of the House of Assembly Public Accounts Committee held a public meeting this morning to question officials with the Marble Mountain Development Corp.
The committee has been largely inactive in recent years, but it exists to examine government spending, and ensure that taxpayers are getting good value for government programs.
This spring, the Auditor General identified a range of issues at the Marble Mountain corporation, which is owned by the provincial government.
Next month the committee is expected to hold another meeting to question officials from the Western School District about other issues that the Auditor General identified in his annual report.
Full story will be in Thursday's Telegram.
