RCMP investigating assaults, driving offences

The Bay St. George district of the RCMP is investigating an incident Thursday night that led to a resident of Kippens being charged with assault, uttering threats and unlawful confinement.

A resident of Sheaves Cove was also charged with assault and is due to appear in court on Dec. 3.

Other overnight incidents under investigation by the detachment include a hit and run with damage to a vehicle in Stephenville, a resident of Piccadilly, charged with impaired driving and set to appear in court Nov. 5, a report of a motor vehicle accident with injuries in West Bay and property damage and minor injuries from a motor vehicle accident in Port aux Basques.
