Woman charged with impaired driving by a drug

A 22-year-old woman from Corner Brook is facing a charge of impaired driving by a drug following a two-vehicle collision Thursday at the intersection of Armstrong Avenue and Central Street.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says both vehicles were extensively damaged and a female driver received non-life threatening injuries.

The RNC said further charges for operating a vehicle without valid insurance, vehicle registration, and operating a vehicle without a driver’s licence are pending. The woman was released to appear in court at a later date.
