Corner Brook youth robbed and assaulted

RNC officers in Corner Brook are investigating a robbery that allegedly took place between two young men.

According to police, at about 11 p.m. Saturday a 12-year-old male from Corner Brook was allegedly assaulted and robbed by a 16-year-old male. They were in the area of Commercial and Park Street.

The 12-year-old suffered minor injuries and the 16-year-old ran off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

They apparently knew each other.

Police are still searching for the alleged attacker and anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or who has any information pertaining to it, is asked to contact police at 637-4100.

What was a 12yr. old boy doing out at that time of night with an undisclosed amt. of cash and apparently alone?
