A 31-year-old woman in Corner Brook is facing charges including break and entry, assaulting two counts of assaulting a peace officer and a breach of probation arising from an incident Monday.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to a report around 2:44 p.m. Monday of a residential break and entry between Friday and Monday with the person responsible possibly still inside.
Officers along with police services dog Biff did a sweep of the residence and located the female suspect inside.
The RNC said the woman assaulted two officers as they were escorting her to the police cruiser.
She was conveyed to Her Majesty’s Penitentiary to be held for a court appearance.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
