RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay arrested two impaired drivers Saturday night in unrelated incidents.
In the first incident late Saturday night, police responded to a report of a possible impaired driver from a concerned motorist.
The RCMP located the vehicle and the driver was arrested. The 41-year-old man from Sheshatshiu is now facing charges of impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.
Shortly after midnight, the RCMP stopped another vehicle after the driver threw a beer bottle into the parking lot of the police detachment and that driver was subsequently arrested for impaired driving.
A 24-year-old Natuashish man faces charges of impaired driving, operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit and breach of court orders. He was held for a court appearance on Sept. 4.
