Nice to see the police putting themselves at risk to protect the public. NOT!!! They are just protecting their job security. Everybody from the cops to chopper to courts make money off this and they most certainly do not want their cash cow marijuana legalized. THEY WOULD LOSE MONEY! Cannabis prohibition has nothing to do with public safety and everything to do with money, power, control, markets and the politics of fear.

So, they spent our tax dollars on this, I can think of many other better uses of our money than busting a few small time kids! Why not protect us from REAL crime! By the way, how is the search for Dana Bradley's killer going?

Way to go RCMP. The effect of your bust on the local supply: zero. 12 plants is a very small time operation, and even the 45 is not something anyone is trying to make a living at. Any locals who were going to smoke this stuff will now be buying from the hard core criminal organized crime groups that import the stuff here, so instead of our money staying in Newfoundland, it's going to support dangerous international criminal organizations, encouraging them to become more established here. Yeah, that makes me feel safer as a citizen.

...and how much of my tax dollars were wasted on this useless effort? Plenty of people can grow that legally in Canada. Why are we wasting tax dollars on this? Heres a hint RCMP, those people doing armed robberies aren't doing so because of that plant. What an utter waste of police and court resources.
