A 30-year-old man, already in police custody after being charged with a break, entry and theft at the Hughes Brook town office on the province’s west coast on Aug. 14, has had further charges laid against him.
According to the Corner Brook RCMP, the McIvers resident was formally charged Tuesday with four more counts of break, entry and theft, as well as several breach of probation charges, resulting from a month-long investigation into break and entries at the McIvers Town Hall, Gillams Seniors Hall, Irishtown Municipal Office and the Hughes Brook Town Office.
Police are continuing their investigation in attempts to recover stolen items from these locations.
The man has been remanded in custody and will appear in Corner Brook provincial court on Sept. 10.
