The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) is requesting the assistance of the general public in identifying the person or persons responsible for a residential break-in on the west side of the City of Corner Brook in July.

The police are concerned about the public safety issues a theft of firearms presents and is encouraging the person or persons responsible to pass the firearms over to the RNC.

According to the police, sometime between July 15 and 17, entry was gained into an unoccupied residence through a main floor window. The homeowners were alerted to the incident when they noticed several items in the home had been moved from their original place. Among the items reported missing are a 303 rifle, a 308 rifle and a 22- calibre rifle.
