Charges laid in child pornography investigation

The RNC’s Child Exploitation Unit has charged a 36-year-old St. John’s man as a result of a child pornography investigation.

On Wednesday, the man was arrested without incident and charged with three offences related to child pornography.

The accused has appeared in St. John’s provincial court and is scheduled to appear again on Oct. 24.

The RNC’s Child Exploitation Unit is asking anyone who has any information in relation to this incident or any other incident involving child pornography to contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). You can provide information anonymously on the NL Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.

    It's all well and good for the RNC to ask the public to report any info they may have pertaining to this incident. Problem is whom are they talking about? A name would help.

    So you publish the name of people for laundering charges, but a pedophile gets to remain anonymous?
