While some homeowners dropped off tree limbs near the west entrance to Bowring Park Wednesday, others took the opportunity to gather some free firewood. The areas near the park and at Quidi Vidi Lake normally used for Christmas tree and leaf disposal were filling up with debris from Leslie all day.

The flower beds were the only cheerful sight in Bannerman Park Tuesday as many trees were either uprooted or stripped of branches by the winds of Leslie.
