Nain man charged with assault with a weapon

A 32-year-old Nain man has been charged with assault with a weapon after a group of children reported that a man had approached them at the community arena on Friday night and pulled out a knife.

No one was injured in the 10:15 p.m. incident.

The man left the Husky Centre Arena and the RCMP located him about an hour later and arrested him. Officers found a knife on him.

He was released from custody to appear in court in November.

Kind of normal activity there....32 year old. Must be the mumbo jumbo getting to ya.
