Huey Lewis and the News will play Mile One Centre Oct. 30.

The band, known for hits like “The Power of Love,” “Stuck with You,” and “Hip to be Square,” took some time off in the early 2000s, having sold more than 30 million records worldwide. They released their latest album, “Soulsville” — a tribute record of soul covers from artists like Isaac Hayes and Otis Redding — in 2010.

Lewis also has a second career as an actor, having performed on Broadway and in the movie “Duets” with Gwyneth Paltrow.

Tickets for the Mile One show are $29.75, $39.75 and $49.75 plus tax and surcharge, and will go on sale this Friday at noon at the Mile One Centre box office, by calling 576-7657, or online at www.mileonecentre.com.

The band played here in the 1980's, around 1987 I think. bass player is deadly and so cool looking.

wicked..... Maybe Wham! or Corey Hart will be opening. First we get Kenny Rogers at the GSF and now Huey Lewis and the "Yesterday's" News. What did we do to deserve this ??? Shag it, bring on Rick Astley. We want RICK!!!! I will change my negativity and buy a ticket as long as during "The Power of Love" you hear "reverse skating please" in a very dull voice!!!
