Workers with Exploits Homecare Agency in Grand Falls-Windsor have voted unanimously in favour of ratifying their first collective agreement.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE), says 40 employees work for the agency in communities from the Grand Falls – Windsor area, including Springdale, Botwood, Lewisporte, Norris Arm and Gander.
NAPE president Carol Furlong said, in addition to an increase in wages, the agreement contains a cost-shared health plan, reimbursement for travel expenses, additional sick days and the ability to take paid vacation.
The agreement is effective as of Sept. 13 of this year and is set to expire on June 30, 2014.
