The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook seized a driver’s licence as a result of vehicle collision early this morning.

Around 5:30 a.m., RNC patrol services received a report of a single vehicle collision on Petries Street. It was reported that a vehicle had driven over an embankment.

Police say the driver, a 40-year-old man from Pasadena, had a blood alcohol level in excess of the legal limit and was issued a seven-day driving suspension.

The RNC is continuing to investigate the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RNC at 709-637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). People can also provide information anonymously on the N.L. Crime Stoppers Website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com
