RNC investigating vandalism to Search and Rescue building

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary in Corner Brook  are continuing to investigate a mischief complaint, arising from vandalism at the Bay of Islands Search and Rescue building.

Around 3 a.m. this morning, the RNC received a report of mischief to property on Premier Drive.

It was reported that a resident observed a suspicious woman walking around the Search and Rescue Building, who began throwing rocks at the building and smashed out the door window.

The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.

She is described as being five feet, five inches tall, with shoulder-length brown hair, wearing a black jacket and jeans.

The police are asking anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the RNC at 709-637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
