The RNC has confirmed that it's investigating a clandestine drug operation in a St. John's home.
Police received a report around 12:30 p.m. today involving a home in the Albany Street area, which led them to cordon off the area.
One person was taken to hospital earlier today with injuries.
RNC bomb disposal technicians are currently on the scene and an investigation is continuing.
RNC uniformed and plain clothes police officers are currently at the scene of what is, at this time, an unknown hazard in the city.
Officers have a house cordoned off with police tape on the corner of Albany Place and Albany Street. Some nearby homes have been evacuated.
Albany Street is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic from Blackmarsh Road to Hamilton Avenue Ext.
A neighbour said an ambulance and firefighters were at the residence earlier this morning.
