Trinity Conception RCMP seized drugs from a vehicle in Carbonear Wednesday afternoon.As a result of a traffic stop, a 27-year-old man from the community was arrested for possessing controlled substances.

The RCMP searched the vehicle and seized a quantity of prescription narcotics, including morphine and Percocet .

The man was later released and the investigation is ongoing.
