A 31-year-old man was arrested in his vehicle in the Allandale Road and Prince Philip Drive area around 1 a.m. this morning after an incident on Kelly Street.
Charges against him include being unlawfully in a home, malicious damage, two breaches of probation and several Highway Traffic Act violations including operating a vehicle with no insurance.
Police say the man also owed about $10,000 in fines. The vehicle was impounded and he was held in custody until a court appearance.
The RNC responded to a total of 230 calls over 24 hours, from early Sunday morning to this morning.
• Street patrol officers arrested a 22-year-old man around 12:10 p.m. Sunday for breaking into vehicles. He was charged with theft, possession of stolen goods, breach of probation and breach of a police officer's undertaking. He was taken to the city lockup to appear in court today.
• A 21-year-old woman was arrested for forgery at a pharmacy on LeMarchant Road.
She was released to appear in court at a later date.
• Around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, a 38-year-old man was arrested in the Berry Street area and charged with assault causing bodily harm and breach of court orders. He was held in custody until a court appearance.
