Collision ties up traffic into Kilbride, Goulds

Traffic is backed up towards Kilbride and the Goulds area of St. John's as a result of a collision involving a Suzuki Grand Vitara, Chevy Silverado pickup and Chevrolet Optra.

The collision occurred at the intersection of the main road leading into the Goulds area and Ruby Line.

The extent of injuries to the drivers of the Suzuki and Optra are unknown. East-bound traffic is being diverted on to Ruby Line.

  Not all accidents are caused by texting..but by stupidity..I have to agree that there seems to be alot more texters or people on their phones without a headset then norm.:( It is sad that people have little disregard for the safety of others..but for this story..nowhere does it say texting..so keeping an open opinion...
