Street lights damaged by gunshots, RCMP say

Someone shooting at street lights resulted in seven lights being damaged near Long Harbour, at the intersection of routes 202 and 101, the Whitbourne RCMP said.

The RCMP is investigating and is asking the public for any information they may have on the incident which occurred sometime before Sept. 24.

The RCMP said that, not only is the action a criminal offence, but the travelling public is being put at risk as they travel through the area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.

    Obviously getting a permit to use a gun requires little intelligence.
