The Telegram

The Telegram website offers only a sample of the stories our reporters, editors and photographers work hard to get to the public every day.

Thursday’s print edition of The Telegram, on the other hand, contains much, much more, from news to opinion to our expanded Community section.

• The new loonie is driving the city if St. John’s nuts. It won’t fit in the city’s 1,200 plus parking meters and th cost to replace the meters runs to about $300,000. Coun. Gerry Colbert thinks the Royal Canadian Mint should have worked more closely with municipalities before switching to the new coins.

• The cousin of a man who died in a house fire on Springdale Street last year said the loss hit the family hard.
