More beef recalled in E.coli investigation

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has released another lengthy list of more than 100 beef cuts that are being recalled as part of the ongoing XL Foods E.coli investigation.

The latest list includes President's Choice  (PC) steaks sold nationally and labelled as petite tender beef smokin' stampede and tender beef Montreal-style spice with best before dates between Oct. 4 and 19.

Various steaks and roasts sold by Extra Foods and Real Canadian Superstore outlets nationally have also been recalled, including T-bone steaks, top sirloin steaks and roasts, hip steaks, inside round steaks and roasts, tenderloin, sirloin tip roasts, blade steaks and roasts and boneless stewing beef.

The list also includes other retailers such as Wal-Mart, Sobeys, IGA, Price Chopper, Thrifty Foods and beef prepared for Loblaws in Western provinces, Ontario and the Territories.
