Industrial accident in Bay Roberts injures two men

An industrial accident in Bay Roberts has injured two men — one of them seriously — according to a news release issued today by the RCMP.

According to Trinity Conception RCMP, the men were injured when a tire on a mobile crane blew off the vehicle Wednesday at Moor Frost Ltd. on Water Street. The two men were said to be changing the tire when the incident occurred.

Police said the men were taken to Carbonear General Hospital to be treated for their injuries. Occupational Health and Safety is investigating the cause of the accident.
