Dirt bike driver injured after colliding with pedestrian

A 16-year-old driver of a dirt bike was seriously injured after he hit a pedestrian walking along Mackenzie Road in Sheshatshiu about 9:10 p.m. Wednesday, the RCMP report.

The pedestrian was not injured.

The driver of the dirt bike was transported to Happy Valley/Goose Bay for medical treatment and then air-lifted to the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's for treatment of what are described as non-life threatening injuries.
