Police in Corner Brook are investigating several vehicle break-ins that resulted in the theft of goods left inside them.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary received four complaints Saturday claiming someone entered parked vehicle overnight and stole personal belongings.

Among those items taken were an iPod and an iPod radio adapter, compact discs, money, vehicle documents, and personal mail that included bank statements. The reported incidents took place in the area of Brookfield Avenue, Reid Street, and East Valley Road.

A further complaint was received on Sunday from Bell Street, where a Belkin FM Transmitter was stolen from a vehicle.

Police said in all five cases the door to the vehicle was left unlooked.

Anyone with information relating to these incidents is asked to contact the RNC at 637-4100 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Anonymous tips can be provided through the Crime Stoppers website at www.nlcrimestoppers.com.
