The Telegram website offers only a sample of the stories our reporters, editors and photographers work hard to get to the public every day.

Monday’s full edition of The Weekend Telegram, on the other hand, contains much, much more, from news to opinion to our expanded Sports section.

• A fire in a St. John’s subdivision Sunday afternoon damaged five homes, destroying one of them.

The fire happened on Petite Forte Drive, located just west of Kelsey Drive. The St. John’s Regional Fire Department received a call from 911 at approximately 1:30 p.m. When trucks arrived at the scene, three homes were on fire, with 50 Petite Forte fully engulfed in flames.

“The roof was burnt off,” said shift-Supt. Derek Chafe. “Every room was burning.”

They say they were waiting for the right time. They now have their ideal home. Their son is involved in activities with good friends and their quality of life is at an all-time high.

“We’re living proof that we took the chance at the right time. We have a beautiful home, our son loves school and has great friends. It really worked out. We’re probably the happiest we’ve been in our careers,” said Ronalda.

• Repartee: “A quick and witty response,” according to the dictionary.

Also something that perhaps doesn’t come easy on the podium when you’re being presented with your fifth MusicNL award of the night.

St. John’s-based synth-pop-rock group Repartee swept the 2012 MusicNL awards Sunday evening, walking away from the gala with five trophies
