RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay have charged a 44-year-old man with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over 80 mg in 100 ml of blood.
According to the RCMP, officers on patrol observed a vehicle failing to stop at a stop sign in the town. As a result of this traffic stop, police say the driver’s blood alcohol level was double the legal limit.
The suspect was arrested and later released to appear at Happy Valley-Goose Bay provincial court on Dec. 19.
