The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary responded to 170 calls for service in a 24-hour period from early Tuesday morning to Wednesday morning.
A male youth was arrested for breaches of an undertaking, resisting arrest, assaulting two police officers and two breaches of probation. He’s expected to appear in court today.
Street patrol officers arrested a 26-year-old man in Mount Pearl for impaired driving on Old Placenta Road.
Police say his blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
Two other men were arrested and charged with breaching their probation by being in each others company on Freshwater Road. They were released to appear in court at a later date.
RNC street patrol officers arrested a 53-year-old man in the Olympic Drive area of Mount Pearl for impaired driving and failing the breathalyzer. He was released to appear in court at a latter date.
The RNC Street Patrol arrested a 28-year-old woman in the Goulds area of St. John’s for Driving Without a Drivers License and having no Insurance. The driver owed more than $5,000 in fines. The vehicle was impounded and the driver taken to court.
